FEATURES OF THE EMPA<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div>

In order to fulfill the needs of those who work either in public sector or non-profit organizations, the EMPA program of the Department not only offers modern management and research training but also pays special attention to the analysis of practical cases. With the effort of integrating theories and practices, we hope to build up the leadership and analytical skills for managers working in both public and private sectors.<\/p>\n

The program is divided into two branches, public management and project management. With the former focusing on organization leadership and administrative management and the latter concerning the project analysis and achievement of coordination and integration.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Department of Public Affairs prepares students to become first-class managers of public affairs and guide citizens to actively participate the planning and management of various public affairs. In addition, we aim to broaden students\u2019 horizons and cultivate them in the humanities. A full-fledged elite with leadership capability is always what we want to deliver to the society.<\/p>\n

We initiated the EMPA program, originally called Public Administration and Community Development for those who need to advance their knowledge in the field of public affairs, offering this program on Taipei and Taoyuan campuses.<\/p>\n

The graduate and undergraduate programs in the department were established in 2001 and 2003, respectively.\n<\/p>\n

We consider the graduate program as the core of the department and treat undergraduate students as prospective graduate students. In addition, we continue updating course design for both graduate and EMPA programs so that everyone graduating from their program can not only conduct research independently but also possess the capability and knowledge to deal with problems in the work place.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
